POSITION SUMMARY
USA Lacrosse is looking for an experienced events professional to join our team as our SR Manager, Events. In this role you will work collaboratively with the Director, Events and Events team to lead the planning, coordination, administration, and execution of USA Lacrosse events. This role is crucial in the management of event schedules, participant registration, venue coordination, and ensuring internal alignment across departments so the events is hosted as envisioned. USA Lacrosse hosts a wide range of events - from events showcasing our National Teams to hosting national competitions to regional academies – all playing a pivotal role in moving our Mission forward and ensuring exceptional attendee experiences.

A Typical Day Looks Like…
Event Services & Coordination
- Builds and manages comprehensive event schedules, including timelines, activation schedules, event staffing, and internal deliverables, ensuring alignment with event goals, department standards/guidelines, and venue operations.
- Manages ongoing registration communications, providing timely updates to participating teams, vendors, and internal team members as needed.
- Partners with the Director, Events to support venue negotiations and the RFP process, helping with the management of key operational and logistical terms to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. This includes serving as the primary contact for venue partners.
- Collaborates with internal teams (i.e., Marketing and Partnerships) on key event details, timelines, selling opportunities, and audience priorities, ensuring accurate and timely creation of event collateral and rollout of communications.
- Provides budget oversight in collaboration with the Director, Events, including tracking expenditures, reconciling costs, and offering informed recommendations.
Event Administration & Execution
- Maintains and updates internal planning documents, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), production timelines, and shared trackers across events.
- Serves as a liaison between the Events team and internal departments to ensure clarity on timelines, responsibilities, expectations, and priorities.
- Provides internal planning support for other department events based on event type (i.e. Regional Academies). This includes communication of logistics and organization of event materials for onsite delivery and event execution.
Reporting, Evaluation, & Standardization
- Supports data collection efforts, included but not limited to, attendance tracking, post-event surveys, and feedback loops across teams. This includes using this data to prepare reports to be presented to the VP, Corporate Partnerships and/or the leadership team (LT).
- Assists in the development of recap reports, including making recommendations based on event takeaways to increase efficiency and improve the overall attendee experience. This includes updating SOPs, timelines, and planning tools as needed.
- Supports a collaborative, team-first culture where open communication, poise under pressure, proactive problem-solving, and clear follow-through are the norm.
Is This You…
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in event planning and/or management; previous work experience in the sports, entertainment, or hospitality industry a plus.
- Previous working experience for an association, non-profit, member based, or governing body a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Enthusiastic go-getter with a "roll up your sleeves" and "get it done" attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, hybrid (in office and remote), dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow up/through skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to think on their feet, maintain composure, and pivot as needed to ensure all runs seamlessly with no to minimal disruptions to the execution of the event.
- Comfortable managing others and giving directions in an event setting.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to work with different types of personalities.
- Ability to exercise the appropriate level of discretion and judgment with the capability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information and materials.
- Ability to be flexible with your work schedule, including availability to work nights and weekends based on event needs. This will include overnight travel for USAL events.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clear record for domestic travel for USAL events. This includes the ability to rent and drive a rental vehicle for business purposes.
- Willingness to learn about the sport of lacrosse and appreciate the need to develop, grow, and fuel the growth of the sport with diversity, equity, and inclusion in mind.

Expected Hours of Work
This position is generally expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, requiring longer hours, including weekend and evening work, for events based on business needs and schedule. This is a hybrid position and works from the headquarters office in Sparks, MD three (3) days a week with the flexibility to work from home two (2) days a week.
Compensation & Benefits Overview
The total compensation pay range (inclusive of base salary plus annual incentive pay potential) for this position is $71,500 to $77,000, commensurate with experience.

Travel Requirements
Travel may be necessary up to 30% of the time (local, regional). Travel would involve the following mode(s) of travel: car, train, or air. Some out of area and overnight travel may be expected.
