POSITION SUMMARY
USA Lacrosse is looking for a results-oriented Director, Regional Growth to lead a high-performing team of regional sales representatives to drive membership and revenue growth across the country. You will work hand in hand with our VP of Membership & Regional Growth and Regional Growth team to develop and execute regional sales strategies to align with USA Lacrosse’s goals - increasing access to the sport, strengthening member relationships, and fueling the growth of lacrosse nationwide. You will bring together strategic thinking, strong sales acumen, and a passion for member impact to empower our regional team to deliver results and ensure USA Lacrosse’s products and services reach and resonate with diverse communities across the country.

A Typical Day Looks Like…
Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Leads, coaches, and motivates a regional sales team to execute tailored growth strategies that reflect local needs and opportunities.
- Collaborates with regional staff to identify and close new membership opportunities while maximizing engagement across existing accounts.
- Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively address performance gaps, and develops and implements action plans to drive revenue.
- Works closely with the marketing team to develop and deploy region-specific campaigns to attract and retain members.
- Continuously evolves the sales strategy to expand market share and increase participation in USA Lacrosse programs.
Member Engagement, Growth, & Retention
- Develops and oversees customized membership packages and services that support local league and club growth, with clear value propositions.
- Ensures Regional Directors and Regional Managers maintain strong, consultative relationships with member organizations.
- Supports team participation in member events and regional programming to strengthen engagement and promote best practices.
- Coordinates communication and promotion of USA Lacrosse initiatives – such as Coach Development, Officials Development, National Teams, and more - to increase awareness and participation.
Leadership & Reporting
- Provides clear, consistent leadership and accountability for the regional growth team, fostering a results-oriented, collaborative culture.
- Regularly reviews team performance against sales goals and KPIs, offering coaching, support, and corrective plans as needed.
- Delivers clear, actionable sales reports and insights to the VP of Membership & Regional Development and members of the leadership team (LT).
- Leads annual planning processes for sales forecasting and budgeting, aligning regional growth goals with national business objectives.
- Ensures ongoing professional development for regional representatives, including regular training, feedback, and performance evaluations.
Is This You…
- Minimum five (5) years of proven experience in sales, account management, or marketing; experience in sports, non-profits, or member-based organizations preferred.
- Proven experience leading, managing, and motivating high-performing sales or commercial teams to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships, growing accounts, and consistently delivering results.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to a wide range of audiences.
- Skilled in territory planning, pipeline management, and using CRM tools (Salesforce experience a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, hybrid (in office and remote), dynamic environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hybrid/remote environment.
- Team player with a “roll up their sleeves,” proactive mindset, and strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Ability to exercise the appropriate level of discretion and judgment with the capability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information and materials.
- Ability to be flexible with your work schedule, including availability to work nights and weekends based on event needs. This will include overnight travel for USA Lacrosse events.
- Willingness to learn about the sport of lacrosse and appreciate the need to develop, grow, and fuel the growth of the sport with diversity, equity, and inclusion in mind.
- Ability to align with USA Lacrosse's Mission, Vision, and Values to support our initiatives and organizational goals.
Expected Hours of Work
This position is generally expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm and occasionally requires longer hours or weekend work as related to events and other business needs. This is a hybrid position and works from the headquarters office in Sparks, MD three (3) days a week with the flexibility to work from home two (2) days a week.
Compensation & Benefits Overview
The base pay range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000, plus incentives, commensurate with experience.
USA Lacrosse offers a competitive benefits package including, but not limited to:
- Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, offering multiple options for Medical and Dental (eligible the first of the month following 30 days of employment).
- Company paid Life and AD&D at one times an employee’s annual salary up to $50,000 and company paid Long Term Disability (LTD) at one year of employment.

Travel Requirements
Travel may be necessary up to 50% of the time (local, regional). Travel would involve the following mode(s) of travel: car, train, or air. Some out of area and overnight travel may be expected.
